USL Spokane is opening a Team Store in downtown Spokane’s Davenport Grand Hotel on Friday, Nov. 3, 5-8 p.m. The community is invited to drop in and check out the activities – either from inside the Davenport Grand or look for us outside at the Spokane Falls Boulevard entrance.
The opening will kick off a memorable weekend that culminates with the announcement of the women’s Super League and W League teams’ name and crest on Sunday also at the Davenport Grand Hotel. In addition to Friday evening, the store will be open Saturday 3-7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. (briefly closing at 3 p.m. for the women’s team name announcement).
The store will feature new products for the Velocity’s men’s brand that weekend, along with some of the most popular merchandise. In the week after the women’s team event, the store will be stocked with women’s team merchandise too.
“We’re going to be running giveaways and promotions all weekend,” said Phil Harrison, Vice President of Spokane Velocity FC. “We will be offering in-store discounts on all products, starting with the soft opening on Friday night. Upon entering the store, customers can ‘spin the wheel’ for an opportunity to score free merchandise, greater discounts, or other promotions.”
Harrison said setup is underway on the retail space near the main entry of the Davenport Grand Hotel. He said it is exciting to see this next step introducing the Spokane USL brand to the community.
“We’re excited to be partnered with the Davenport,” said Harrison. “The space is great because of its location in the heart of downtown and it can be accessed from both inside the hotel and from Spokane Falls Boulevard.”
The opening coincides with the launch of the women’s Super League and W League teams on Sunday. The store will be open on Saturday and on Sunday before the women’s team reveal event.
“The opening will not only build momentum for the Velocity brand, but also another awesome reason to bring family and friends to Sunday’s reveal event. Long term, the retail space will serve as a central hub for merchandise and information about the club.”
