Spokane Velocity FC was built on the mission that we are and will always be dedicated to the Football Fan and Football Community. The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is our country’s most historic, authentic, and inclusive soccer competition, and our registration through the U.S. Soccer Federation binds us to the Professional League Standards we agreed to upon sanctioning.
As a result of Major League Soccer’s (MLS) decision not to field all their first teams, this year’s format is different making the Cup’s future uncertain. However, we made the decision – along with all USL Teams – to fulfill our obligation to U.S. Soccer, our players, and our FANS. Velocity FC is committed to playing in and supporting the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup competition for the enjoyment of ALL and we look forward to representing Spokane in this historic event!
